PRTR Search is partnering with an international manufacturing organization to appoint a General Manager to lead its Thailand production operations. Reporting to the Group COO, this role carries full responsibility for the performance, efficiency, and strategic development of the manufacturing facility.
The General Manager will oversee all operational functions including production, supply chain, planning, logistics, and site operations. The position plays a critical role in strengthening operational capability, improving plant profitability, and building a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide overall leadership for the manufacturing facility, ensuring strong operational performance, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Drive plant profitability through productivity improvements, cost optimization, and increased production capacity.
- Oversee production, supply chain, planning, and logistics to ensure reliable delivery and high customer service levels.
- Lead integrated planning processes including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align production capacity with customer demand.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and lead times.
- Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, including ISO quality, environmental, and HSE requirements, as well as Thai labor and customs regulations.
- Work closely with global leadership, commercial teams, and key external stakeholders to support business growth and operational alignment.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Thai or expatriate with strong Thai and English communication skills.
- Proven experience leading manufacturing or plant operations within an industrial production environment.
- Strong track record of improving operational performance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Experience managing cross-functional operations including production, supply chain, and planning.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive teams, change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working within multinational or international manufacturing organizations is preferred.
- Background in plastics manufacturing or extrusion would be advantageous.
