Position: General Manager (Shopping Plaza and Retail)
Our client seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the overall business and operations of a shopping mall. This role is responsible for driving commercial performance, revenue growth, tenant expansion, and operational excellence across the retail center.
General Manager will have strong experience in retail property management, mall operations, and revenue-driven strategies, with the ability to enhance tenant mix, increase foot traffic, and maximize overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Profit & Loss Management:
- Take full ownership of the mall's P&L performance and ensure revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
- Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to improve revenue and cost efficiency.
Mall Revenue Management:
- Drive overall mall revenue growth, including rental income and commercial opportunities.
- Identify new revenue streams such as events, sponsorships, and in-mall advertising.
- Analyze sales performance across different retail categories and adjust strategies accordingly.
Tenant Management & Leasing Expansion:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand tenant mix and attract new brands.
- Source and negotiate with new tenants including restaurants, beverage brands, beauty brands, and lifestyle retailers.
- Manage tenant relationships and monitor store performance to ensure strong commercial results.
- Optimize leasing strategies and commercial terms to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Supermarket Performance:
- Oversee the sales performance and profitability of the supermarket within the mall.
- Work closely with the supermarket team to improve product mix, pricing, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Analyze sales data and customer behavior to drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
Mall Operations & Facilities Management:
- Oversee the overall operations and facilities management of the shopping mall.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, security, and maintenance across the property.
- Coordinate with internal teams and service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Real Estate, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in shopping mall management, retail property, or commercial operations.
- Strong experience in P&L management and revenue-driven business operations.
- Proven track record in tenant leasing, tenant mix optimization, and brand partnerships.
- Experience managing retail operations, supermarket performance, or multi-tenant environments.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to drive business growth and deliver measurable results.
