Generative AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our System Integration (SI) team. In this role, you will be seconded to one of Thailand's leading Insurance Companies to play a pivotal role in their digital transformation journey.

You will act as a core technical expert, augmenting the client's internal team to design, develop, and deploy production-grade Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions. Your focus will be on creating innovative tools for automated underwriting, claims processing, personalized customer experiences, and internal knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of LLM-powered applications (RAG, Agentic workflows) and traditional ML models tailored for the insurance sector.

Integration: Collaborate with the client's IT department to integrate AI solutions into existing legacy systems and cloud infrastructure.

Optimization: Fine-tune open-source and proprietary models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Llama 3) to improve accuracy, reduce latency, and manage token costs.

Data Engineering: Work closely with data teams to build robust pipelines for training, validation, and real-time inference.

Governance & Ethics: Ensure all AI initiatives comply with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the insurance industry's strict regulatory standards.

Mentorship: Act as a technical bridge between the SI company and the client, mentoring junior engineers and providing thought leadership on AI trends.

Technical Requirements

Total Experience: Minimum 5 years in Software Engineering, Data Science, or AI.

Generative AI Expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in Generative AI, including:

o Building applications using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI.

o Implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and Vector Databases (e.g., ChromaDB).

o Prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques (PEFT, LoRA).

Core ML Skills: Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).

Cloud Infrastructure: Strong experience with Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock, or GCP Vertex AI.

Deployment: Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working within the Insurance or Fintech sectors.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English; Thai language skills are a significant advantage for collaborating with local stakeholders.

Soft Skills: Strong consultative mindset with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
