The role
As a
Global Category Manager, you will lead a collaborative approach with key stakeholders to identify, source, and deliver best-value supplier solutions that align with product design specifications and business needs.
You Will
- Leads complex, high-value and strategic direct material categories, delivering best in class procurement solutions, while working in close collaboration with key cross business leaders and senior level stakeholders.
- Develops and executes category strategies, presents value creation opportunities, and monitors market trends.
- Oversees end-to-end sourcing, supplier agreements, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation, focusing on strategic suppliers and strong relationships.
- Builds and maintains internal and external relationships, provides guidance to global teams, and contributes to procurement strategy.
- Ensures health and safety by following all procedures and reporting hazards.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proven procurement leader with:
- Direct experience in Procurement / Category Management with full ownership of complex categories.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple regions and product lines.
- Manages a global supplier portfolio for direct sourced products, parts and raw materials.
- Leads the creation, implementation and maintenance of Category Strategy & Plans aligned to the business, procurement and product line strategy, as well as product and technology roadmaps.
- Expertise in supplier qualification, selection, and relationship management.
- Experience in developing and implementing category strategies.
- Excellent English communication skills are mandatory, Thai or Mandarin language skills would be an additional advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, JDE, and Excel.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
