As East-West Seed continues its exciting transformation and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Global Head - Environment, Health & Safety (EHS). You will influence strategy and decision-making, embedding EHS into the way we operate and grow. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire our global EHS teams and build an integrated, risk-based health and safety system that safeguards employees, contractors, and partners while ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement EHS and security policies, standards, and practices across East-West Seeds global operations.
- Provide strategic direction, ensure compliance with local and international regulations, and foster a culture of prevention and well-being across R&D, production, processing, commercial, and corporate locations worldwide.
- Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for the executive team and managing board.
- Lead global security risk management for people, assets, and operations.
- Standardize and strengthen EHS practices across all work environments, including labs, farms, warehouses, and offices.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and global crisis response frameworks.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team of EHS professionals, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
- Manage the EHS function&aposs annual operating budget.
What We&aposre Looking For:
- A seasoned and credible EHS leader with at least 15 years of senior EHS leadership experience in a global multinational organization, preferably in agriculture, biotech, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Proven track record of successfully driving strategic and complex EHS initiatives at a global scale, ideally with experience in business transformation.
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field. A Masters Degree in Operations Management is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are a plus.
- Deep experience building and sustaining safety-first cultures, especially in field-based or high-risk environments.
- Strong grasp of global safety regulations and risk management practices.
- Analytical thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Digital-savvy, comfortable using tools for EHS reporting, training, and analytics.
