About the Role
We are now expanding our Global Sales Manager, Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) portfolio globally and seeking a high-achieving Global Sales Manager to accelerate the growth of our ambulance, fire truck, and first-response vehicle business. The role focuses on driving international sales and building strategic relationships with medical OEMs, fire/rescue integrators, government agencies, EPCs and industrial customers.
The successful candidate will be a hunter, not a coordinator, capable of developing new markets, winning new tenders and closing deals, and shaping RMA's global presence in ERV across Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Location
The position is based primarily at our Laem Chabang facility in Thailand where close collaboration with engineering and other functions is essential. However, for highly qualified candidates with strong global sales experience, we are open to discussing flexible arrangements or alternative locations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Achieve annual sales targets for ambulances, fire vehicles and other ERVs.
- Convert leads from governments, hospitals, NGOs, and fire departments into high-value orders.
- Identify, qualify and win tenders for ambulances, fire trucks, MMUs and other ERV platforms.
- Build and manage a strong global sales pipeline.
Industry Partnerships
- Leverage relationships with medical OEMs (Siemens Healthineers, Philips, GE Healthcare, etc) to co-develop mobile imaging and diagnostic solutions.
- Collaborate with fire departments, disaster agencies, defense forces, industrial companies, military bases, hospitals, universities, private firefighting companies and NGOs.
- Present RMA's modification capabilities to OEMs, end users, contractors and donor-funded institutions.
Technical & Operational Collaboration
- Advise customers on specifications, compliance standards and customisation options for EN1789 ambulances, NFPA/EN fire & rescue vehicles, and mobile clinics/MMUs.
- Translate customer requirements into engineering briefs and work with internal teams to ensure technical alignment, competitive pricing and commercial accuracy.
- Manage project handover from proposal through build and delivery.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Inputs
- Monitor competitors in the ambulance and fire vehicle ecosystem.
- Track government procurement cycles, donor-funded projects, and long-term opportunities.
- Provide feedback on market trends to inform product roadmap, regional strategies, fire/ambulance applications, and new platforms and technical packages.
Background and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields.
- 10+ years in B2B / B2G sales experience in
- Ambulances, fire trucks, rescue vehicles, or emergency response equipment, or
- Medical imaging devices (CT/DR/Ultrasound), or
- Government/tender-driven capital equipment
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and winning new accounts and new projects.
- Strong network with medical OEMs and/or fire/rescue equipment suppliers is a significant advantage.
- Experience working with Ministries, fire departments, contractors and NGOs.
- Familiarity with vehicle modification processes and emergency response equipment integration.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (EN1789/KKK, EN&NFPA for fire vehicles) and life support systems, rescue tools and onboard emergency systems.
- Ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to engineering teams and customers.
