We are looking for Finance Analyst who will be responsible for managing all East West Seed Group Commercial financial, including Group Sales area from Gross to Net Sales, DSO, OTC and Group Strategic Marketing (Crops aspects). The analyst will provide financial planning, reporting and analysis to support the decision making process.
Working closely with the Group Finance Business Partner - Strategic Marketing, this position will act as a business partner to the Commercials and Strategic Marketing team ensuring alignment of financial goals and objectives. Also, it is expected that the Finance Analyst will collaborate with local finance teams across various countries to understand financials, and support local teams to ensure alignment on Group directives and requests.
The role will require strong analytical skills, an understanding of financial principles, and the
ability to communicate effectively with business partners.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Consolidate and prepare monthly financial decks and dashboards to track Group actual and forecasted KPIs, for example, Sales, Gross Profits, Innovative Growth Value (IGV), Opex, Account Receivables and DSO.
- Variance analysis of Sales, Gross Profit, IGV by market/crops, Opex by functions/CostCenter/Market/spending categories.
- Connect with the Market Finance, Sales & Marketing business partners and Group cross-functional team to get the business insights on sales/margin drivers (Price, Volume, Mix) and cost drivers.
- Support data for Group S&OP. Identify key risks and opportunities on top-line and spending. Present financial findings to support the discussion and decision with Group Finance Business Partner - Strategic Marketing and business partners to provide actionable recommendations.
- Support the official Financial Forecast and Annual Budget submission of Group Net Sales and Commercial Opex, including preparation of the financial presentation.
- Work closely with the Commercial Intelligence team to ensure financial dashboards in BI are accurate and up-to-date, and to develop new dashboards as required.
- Support data requirements to develop and analyze Crop P&L.
- Work closely with the Group Commercials and Operations team, as well as market on Commercial SLOB and Excess Stock Management
- Support to develop the standards of financial practice in Commercials area in order to increase clarity on costs, accounting accuracy, and integrity. Reconcile gross sales between BI and TM1 systems.
- Initiate group guidelines and financial instructions to subsidiaries in the OTC process; implement agreed corrective measures and controls, and evaluate their effectiveness in managing risks
- Manage cross functional projects and process improvement initiatives
- Support requests from Group Finance Business - Strategic Marketing as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, focusing on Finance, Accounting or Management Information System.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial controlling, FP&A, or external audit experience, preferably including global experience or experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Critical thinking skills, fast, adaptive and proactive with a growth mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail, and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent Communication skills, with willingness to support and guide subsidiaries and cross-functional on best practice and financial acumen.
- Strong skills and proficiency with Google Workspace programs (Google Sheet, Google Mail, Google Slides and Google Docs), or similar Microsoft Office.
- Experience in building reports with Power BI and handling multiple data sources is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
