We are looking for a Global Senior Finance Analyst – Opex to join our International Finance team. The Finance Analyst is responsible for reporting, consolidation and basic analysis of all East
West Seed Group Operating Expenses. This includes full cycle activities: budgeting,
forecasting and actual reporting of Opex for all entities, as well as group-wide standardization
and optimization of OpEx systems and processes. This role will also be the finance BP for the
International HQ entity cost center owners, to support them in understanding their monthly
Opex trend, root cause analysis and budget/forecasting activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the consolidation and partner with functional leaders, department heads, and group and country finance to ensure accuracy of OPEX budgets, forecasts, and results for the EWS Group.
- Develop and maintain OPEX reporting tools, dashboards, and templates to track performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual OPEX trends to identify variances, opportunities, and risks.
- Annual budget: based on a fundamental and comprehensive of the above two cycles, report/consolidate/analyze the drivers of OPEX and identify risk & opportunities as needed.
- Prepare OPEX reports and presentations for management and the board, highlighting key trends and findings, communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline OPEX-related processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.
- Leverage financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) to automate and improve data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in the design and implementation of financial tools and templates to enhance group-wide consistency.
- Support strategic initiatives and projects, including cost-saving programs and business cases for operational investments.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to assess the financial impact of business decisions on OPEX.
- IHQ Opex management: in addition to the monthly, quarterly and annual cycle activities above, this role is expected to act as a finance partner to the cost center owners of IHQ, supporting them in reading their Opex numbers, identify the underlying cost drivers, and justify the cost structures. This will be measured via forecast accuracy, resource optimization, etc.
- Ad hoc: Opex related projects, i.e. People cost system build, T&E analysis
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, focusing on Finance, Accounting or
- Management Information System.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial controlling, FP&A, or external audit experience, preferably including global experience or experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Critical thinking skills, fast, adaptive and proactive with a growth mindset.
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail, and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent Communication skills, with willingness to support and guide subsidiaries and cross-functional on best practice and financial acumen.
- Strong skills and proficiency with Google Workspace programs (Google Sheet,
- Google Mail, Google Slides and Google Docs), or similar Microsoft Office Programs.
- Experience in building reports with Power BI and handling multiple data sources is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
