Job Scope: The Global Supply Chain Manager will lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution across global EMS operations, supporting multi-site manufacturing (HQ, AT, SK, AEC, TS, US, HZ). This role is critical in driving cost competitiveness, supply assurance, and operational excellence for high-mix, low-to-high volume electronics manufacturing environments. The position will closely support NPI (New Product Introduction), RFQ cycles, and customer programs, ensuring alignment with global sourcing strategies and EMS customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Global SCM Strategy & Multi-Site Execution
- Lead coordination across global SCM teams (HQ, AT, SK, AEC, TS, US, HZ) to ensure aligned execution of supply chain strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives (PPV, VA/VE, localization, alternate sourcing) to improve margin competitiveness.
- Standardize supply chain processes across regions to support scalable EMS operations.
- Support global customer programs with consistent supply chain execution across sites.
RFQ, NPI & Customer Program Support
- Lead supply chain inputs for RFQ activities including BOM costing, supplier selection, and lead time commitments.
- Partner with Program Management, Engineering, and Commodity teams during NPI phase to ensure smooth product ramp.
- Ensure early supplier engagement and risk mitigation for new product launches.
- Align sourcing strategies with customer AVL (Approved Vendor List) requirements.
Commodity & Strategic Sourcing Management
- Collaborate with global commodity managers on strategic sourcing plans for key categories (electronics components, PCBA, mechanicals, semiconductors).
- Drive supplier consolidation, negotiation, and long-term agreements to secure cost and supply.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate geopolitical and supply risks.
Digitalization & Supply Chain Automation
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in sourcing and procurement (e-sourcing, automation tools, AI-driven analytics).
- Improve system integration across ERP/MRP platforms (SAP/Oracle) for better visibility and planning.
- Enhance real-time tracking of supply chain KPIs and supplier performance.
Data Integrity & Performance Management
- Ensure data accuracy and governance across global supply chain systems.
- Consolidate and analyze performance data across regions (cost, delivery, inventory, supplier KPIs).
- Develop dashboards and executive reports to support strategic decision-making.
Inventory Optimization & VMI Management
- Lead Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), consignment, and hub strategies to optimize working capital.
- Balance inventory levels against customer demand volatility and supply constraints.
- Drive excess and obsolete (E&O) reduction initiatives.
Risk Management & Supply Assurance
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (component shortages, single-source dependencies, geopolitical factors).
- Develop continuity plans for critical components (especially semiconductors and long lead-time items).
- Lead crisis management for supply disruptions.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing teams.
- Act as a key interface between global SCM teams and customer-facing teams.
- Support customer audits and supply chain reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Electronics, or Business Administration.
Experience:
- 10–18 years of experience in supply chain within EMS, electronics manufacturing, OEM/ODM environments.
- Strong experience in NPI, RFQ, and global sourcing for electronics components.
- Proven track record in managing multi-country supply chain operations
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of EMS supply chain (PCBA, box build, semiconductor supply chain).
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and digital procurement tools.
- Strong stakeholder management in a global, matrix organization.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
Core Competencies / Required Skills:
- Experience with global EMS leaders or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Exposure to high-reliability industries (automotive, industrial, medical, networking).
- Familiarity with customer compliance requirements and AVL management.
