About the role
General Manager will have total P&L accountability and operational oversight for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hanoi. You will lead the transition from project setup to full-scale commercial production. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of aligning manufacturing excellence, supply chain logistics, and cross-cultural management to meet high corporate and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct all day-to-day plant operations, manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain functions at the Hanoi facility.
- Own the comprehensive P&L, annual budgeting, capital expenditure planning, and financial performance metrics for the plant.
- Build and execute short-term operational goals and long-term strategic growth plans in alignment with regional corporate directives.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships, including local government authorities, regulatory bodies, and major packaging clients in Northern Vietnam.
- Drive environmental, social, and governance initiatives, ensuring plant operations comply with global sustainability frameworks such as the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop localized management teams across manufacturing, engineering, finance, and human resources.
About you
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of senior leadership experience in high-speed manufacturing operations, with a strong preference for metal packaging, beverage, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of managing full P&L responsibility and turning operational strategies into profitable growth.
- Demonstrated experience in greenfield plant setup, operational scaling, and process optimization.
- Exceptional cross-cultural leadership skills with the ability to bridge corporate culture across Thailand and Vietnam; fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Thai or Vietnamese is a distinct advantage.
- Deep familiarity with industrial safety standards, quality management systems, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
