Job Description

Position Description:

This position is a part of the Government Affairs team who have to focus on monitoring the technical-related regulations and building relationships with related government agencies. The good relationship between team members and also the relationship with other departments within the company is very important for this role.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced professional with good communication and relationship-building skills. Good interpersonal skills with a strong personality will help build a strong network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company complies with technical regulatory requirements.
  • Cooperate with government agencies and related automotive associations in the scope of automotive standards, regulations, and other technical subjects as assigned
  • Monitor and follow up on related current and new technical issues that may impact the business of the company. Also inform to related department.
  • Follow up on the progress of the regulation's announcement, collect the information on the announcement progress, and update it on a timely basis.
  • Along with the process of regulation announcement by the related government agencies, reply to the questions from the government, and report the opinions and suggestions to the government from time to time.
  • Understand the requirements of the current and future regulations from the government, focus on the dynamic status of the approval department and its personnel, and adjust the announcement plans from time to time.
  • Maintain and develop an efficient government relationship network. Responsible for receiving government officials who come to visit, and implementing the reception details according to the schedule.
  • Maintain a good communication channel with each government administrative department and coordinate on the relationship between the company and the government.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in government affairs, regulatory compliance, homologation, or public relations.
  • Good command of English, both writing and speaking.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Drive for results, accountability, and integrity.
