We are seeking an experienced Government Relations & Strategic Partnerships Manager to serve as the school's key representative in managing relationships with government agencies, statutory boards, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders in Singapore.
ROLE
This role will be responsible for strengthening strategic partnerships, monitoring policy developments, advising school leadership on government-related matters, and enhancing the school's reputation through effective stakeholder engagement.
We are looking for a seasoned relationship builder who is comfortable operating at the highest levels of government, business, and community engagement. The candidate needs to possess a strong judgment, diplomacy, and credibility, and is passionate about contributing to the school. The successful candidate will be a mature, credible professional with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the public and private sectors.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary liaison between the school and government ministries, statutory boards, regulatory authorities, and community organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and identify opportunities for strategic collaboration.
- Monitor policy, regulatory, and legislative developments that may impact the school and provide timely advice to senior leadership.
- Represent the school at government, industry, community, and stakeholder engagements.
- Facilitate meetings and engagements between school leadership and external stakeholders.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, reports, and correspondence for senior management.
- Support the school's reputation and visibility through proactive stakeholder engagement and partnership initiatives.
- Manage official visits, high-level meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Advise leadership on government protocols, stakeholder expectations, and engagement strategies.
- Support the resolution of regulatory matters and ensure interactions with external stakeholders are conducted professionally and in accordance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, Business, Education, International Relations, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement, or a similar function.
- Strong understanding of Singapore's government structure, policy framework, and regulatory environment.
- Proven experience engaging with senior government officials, community leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Established network within Singapore's public sector and community ecosystem will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, political awareness, and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
