Group Strategy Manager

Job Overview:

Banpu PCL is seeking a Group Strategy Manager to drive strategic planning and execution at the Group level. The role leads analysis of industry and energy transition trends, shapes the competitive view, and translates insights into initiatives across Banpu Group companies. You will partner with Group executives, business units, and the corporate team to formulate strategy, optimize the portfolio, and deliver execution toward Banpu's long-term direction.

The scope is intentionally broad. We are looking for someone adaptable, who can take on different strategic priorities as the Group's agenda evolves.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead Group-level strategic planning, including the long-term roadmap and annual strategy refresh.

• Integrate short- and long-term plans across countries and business units into a coherent Group view.

• Lead industry, competitor, and market analysis across energy, renewables, and energy technology, and shape recommendations for Group direction.

• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and adjacencies aligned with Group ambition.

• Drive cross-functional and cross-business collaboration to deliver Group strategic initiatives.

• Develop executive-level materials, including strategy papers, progress updates, and Board-level presentations.

• Take on emerging strategic priorities as they arise, in line with Group direction.

Key Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in corporate or group strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or strategic project management.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Adaptable, with the ability to move across topics and shape ambiguous problems into clear direction.

• Experience in energy, infrastructure, utilities, or investment-related sectors is an advantage.
