Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a Business Development Manager (Travel Tech) based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with the flexibility for partial remote work. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in the travel technology sector, building and managing relationships with clients and partners, and creating strategies to drive growth. Responsibilities also include managing key accounts, overseeing sales pipelines, and delivering innovative travel management solutions to meet clients needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Go-to-Market strategies and identify new revenue and growth opportunities for a travel application, based on market data, seasonality, and booking behavior
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), hotels, government sectors, and travel operators
  • Optimize OTA channel strategies, including pricing structure, promotional campaigns, visibility ranking, and seasonal activation plans to maximize sales performance
  • Translate company revenue and cost targets into clear monthly and quarterly growth plans, aligning with Finance, Marketing, and Operations
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as CAC, ROI, conversion rate, and channel performance
  • Work closely with Marketing, Business, and Tech teams to ensure strategies are executable and commercially viable
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making and performance improvement

Additional responsibilities for Senior level

  • Lead the development of overall channel and partnership strategies
  • Own budget allocation across OTAs, strategic partnerships, online channels, and offline agents to maximize efficiency and ROI
  • Drive high-impact negotiations and manage key strategic partners
  • Mentor junior team members and help shape growth strategy at a business level

Qualifications

Junior level

  • 13 years of experience in Strategy, Growth, Commercial, or Business Development roles
  • Experience working with data (Excel / Google Sheets) and basic performance metrics
  • Exposure to digital performance data (GA4, CRM, booking data)
  • Experience or exposure to B2B partnerships
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Senior level

  • 46 years of experience in Strategy, Growth, or Commercial roles, preferably in tourism, OTA, travel tech, logistics, or platform businesses
  • Strong analytical capability, including financial modeling and performance dashboards
  • Proven experience in B2B partnerships, negotiation, and ownership of key accounts or channels
  • Experience managing budgets, growth plans, or revenue targets
  • Ability to work in startup or early-stage environments with high ownership

For all levels

  • Solid understanding of customer acquisition economics (CAC, ROI, conversion funnel)
  • Professional fluency in English
