Spirit Mountain is a small, eco-minded retreat space in Krabi, Thailand. We host conscious travellers, climbers, retreat groups, and nature-based education experiences. Our focus is on simplicity, care, impact, and atmosphere creating a beautiful environment where people can reconnect with themselves and with nature.
We are part of the NatureMind-ED collective and are currently in a phase of grounded rebuilding: simplifying operations, clarifying roles, and slowly developing boutique-style offerings around food, wellness, and community.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, on-site Guest Experience & Boutique Hospitality Manager to help hold and elevate the day-to-day running of the resort.
You'll be the main point of contact for guests and staff, responsible for hospitality delivery, team coordination, and maintaining a calm, well-held environment across the site. You'll work closely with our leadership and operations team, with space to grow into the role over time.
This role suits someone early-to-mid career who wants real responsibility, creative input, and learning not a corporate hotel ladder.
What You'll Be Doing
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests and support them throughout their stay
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, and on-site guest needs
- Ensure guests feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for
Daily Hospitality Operations
- Coordinate daily tasks for housekeeping, kitchen, and guest-facing staff
- Oversee cleanliness, readiness, and atmosphere across the site
- Follow and enforce daily and weekly checklists
- Supervise a small on-site team (kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping)
Food & Simple Offerings
- Support daily food service for guests, interns, volunteers, retreats, and education programmes
- Help bring the restaurant and food offering into operation for external guests in a phased, realistic way
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to incorporate on-site garden produce where appropriate
- Gather guest feedback and help improve flow, presentation, and experience
Atmosphere & Standards
- Maintain a calm, beautiful, well-kept environment
- Deliver small, thoughtful touches (welcome drinks, simple snacks, aesthetic details)
- Notice issues early and address them promptly
- Uphold eco-retreat values through practical sustainability and waste-management practices, e.g. implementing our Zero waste regenerative strategythrough communication, guest education and smart infrastructure
Wellness & Community (Logistics & Hosting)
- Coordinate schedules for yoga, meditation, sound sessions, and other activities
- Support retreat leaders and facilitators on site
- Coordinate use of communal spaces so groups flow well
- Help foster a gentle sense of community when guests are present
Resort Development (Contributing Role)
- Contribute ideas and observations to future development (glamping, facilities, landscaping, guest flow)
- Support on-the-ground delivery of agreed projects
- Stay informed about eco-tourism, boutique hospitality, and wellness trends
- Contribute to Spirit Mountain's visibility through excellent guest experience and word-of-mouth
What This Role Is Not
- Not a senior executive or strategic leadership role
- Not a corporate hotel management position
- Not a spiritual teaching or healer role
- Not responsible for financial management or business ownership

- Are able to work with sensitivity and respect for place, including listening to the land, the environment, and the existing rhythms of the site

- Enjoy being hands-on and guest-facing
- Care deeply about atmosphere, food, vibes, and how a place feels throughout the day and evening
- Are comfortable guiding staff and addressing issues clearly
- Want to learn, grow, and take pride in running a well-held space
Practical Considerations
- You need strong working fluency in both Thai and English, as the role involves daily coordination with local staff and international guests
- You must be legally eligible to work in Thailand
- You should enjoy working in a diverse, international setting and engaging with people from different cultures
Practical Details
Salary: 30,000 THB per month
Location: Spirit Mountain, Krabi (on-site)
Accommodation: Low-cost or subsidised accommodation may be available on-site or nearby (to be discussed)
