The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Role
As a Hardware Service Engineer (Patient Warming Portfolio) for Thailand, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. In this role, you will make an impact by:
- Performing both in-house and on-site service activities, including installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Patient Warming equipment.
- Implementing service operations in full compliance with Solventum Service Policy, QMS, GDPMD, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Determining root causes of equipment issues and driving timely corrective actions to minimize customer downtime.
- Supporting business alignment through service plan, documentation, traceability, reporting, and effective use of SAP service module and related service systems.
- Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to be on-call to support urgent customer needs when required.
Your Skills And Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in core engineering disciplines such as Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related technical field
- Minimum 3 years experience in hardware and software service, preferably in Medical Devices or related industry.
- Technical expertise with proven problem-solving skills, strong service mindset, and ability to manage multiple calls under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Good communication skills in English both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and Ability in service ERP systems for service order management and traceability.
- Ability to follow SOPs, comply with QMS, GDPMD, and systematic service mindset.
- Result-oriented, strong disciplined, with critical thinking, time management, and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel across Thailand to support hospital sites.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Proficient in-service ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for service order management and traceability.
- Knowledgeable of ISO 13485, GDPMD, and local medical device regulatory requirements.
- Prior service experience with OR, anesthesia equipment, or critical care devices
- Strong customer communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Able to manage service workload under time pressure while ensuring quality and compliance.
Work location: Onsite - Service Center in Bangkok, Thailand, Sathorn Area
Travel: May include up to 30-40% Domestic
