Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for managing Asia Books operations network, generating sales and profit, controlling store operating costs and managing store operations structure to meet company target.
  • Responsible for consistent achievement of mission and financial objective of Asia Books Business. This position will develop deep knowledge of financial operations, core products, business plans, operational plan, vision and strategy, successful leadership and management of Asia Books according to its strategic directions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1.1 Develop and Implement strategic plans necessary for Short and long-term growth and profitability include stores operations as policy, strategy

1.2 New and existing stores development both concept and models and sites research for new potential stores opening and deal reasonable terms with Landlords

1.3 Develop and supervise merchandise team for assortment strategy and products developments

1.4 All Sales channels and marketing supervising and directing to meet corporate sales targets and strategy

1.5 New Business and strategic partners development

2. Identify issues and develop action plans and implementing as it relates to standards of Asia Books business.

3. Manage & monitor store sales performance and to improve sales, GP, ticket count and basket size for all stores

4. Manage and control Store expenses, inventory and loss to meet company KPIs

5. Visit stores to monitor operations standard, support all stores and update market situation

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or Master Degree in business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

2. Fluent English Communications

2. Experiences in large-scale retail, hypermarket, or FMCG environments with proven team‑leadership experience.

3. Retail & Bookstore Expertise: Bookstore knowledge, retail business understanding, merchandising standards, and operations standards.

4. Customer & Commercial Capability: CRM, marketing trends and omni‑channel, profitability management, and commercial thinking.

5. Process & Operational Excellence: Operational excellence, process/system analysis and improvement, planning, organizing, and coordination.

6. Leadership & Strategic Management: Leadership, stakeholder management, sales channel management, and SMART goal‑setting.
