Job Description

About Betagro Ventures

Betagro Ventures is the corporate venturing arm of Betagro Group, one of Thailand's leading integrated food companies. We build, invest in and partner with ventures that shape the future of food and agriculture.

Our activities span three models:

  • Venture Capital – A USD 30M fund investing in early-stage FoodTech and AgriTech companies globally.
  • Venture Building – Building and scaling new ventures from inception through a systematic, stage-gated approach.
  • Partnerships – Leveraging the Betagro Group ecosystem to accelerate venture growth.

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Brand & Growth to lead brand, marketing and growth across the Betagro Ventures portfolio.

This is a portfolio-level leadership role, serving multiple ventures across consumer food, B2B agritech, marketplace and platform businesses, from pre-launch through established market presence.

You will work closely with Founders and venture teams to build brands, lead go-to-market, drive commercial performance and develop a scalable marketing capability across the portfolio.

The role combines four core accountabilities: portfolio brand architecture and direction, venture go-to-market leadership, in-house creative studio leadership, and building an AI-enabled marketing operation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Brand Architecture & Direction (25%)

Own the brand system across Betagro Ventures and its portfolio, ensuring consistency while allowing each venture to build the brand that best supports its business.

  • Define and govern brand architecture across the master brand and venture brands, including when Betagro endorsement should or should not be applied.
  • Develop positioning, identity and messaging for new and existing ventures.
  • Lead brand development from inception through launch and at key inflection points including repositioning, category entry and spin-out.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio-wide creative and brand standards.
  • Own the Betagro Ventures corporate brand to strengthen founder attraction, deal flow and co-investor credibility.

2. Venture Go-to-Market & Growth (30%)

Act as the senior marketing partner to Founders, with accountability for commercial marketing outcomes across the portfolio.

  • Lead go-to-market strategy covering segmentation, proposition, channel strategy, pricing communication and launch sequencing.
  • Own portfolio-level media investment, including budget allocation, channel mix and optimisation based on demonstrated returns.
  • Establish a consistent performance framework covering CAC, contribution margin after marketing, payback, retention and LTV.
  • Provide marketing and demand-side assessment for venture stage-gates and Investment Committee decisions.
  • Lead trade and channel marketing where relevant, in coordination with Betagro Group's retail, distribution and channel functions.
  • Build mechanisms to capture and transfer marketing learnings across ventures.

3. In-house Creative Studio (20%)

Lead and develop the in-house graphics and creative capability serving the venture portfolio.

  • Directly lead the existing graphics and creative team, including capability assessment, role definition and development.
  • Transform the team from an execution-focused resource into a strategic creative studio.
  • Establish effective briefing, workflow, review gates, resource allocation and service standards across ventures.
  • Set creative direction and determine the appropriate balance between in-house capabilities, agencies and external specialists.
  • Build AI-augmented creative capabilities, including tools, training, workflows and quality control.

4. AI-enabled Marketing Operation (25%)

Build the AI capability that enables content production, media investment and performance optimisation across the portfolio.

AI-enabled content production

  • Establish AI-assisted workflows across copy, static creative, video and localisation.
  • Build reusable brand assets including style guides, prompt libraries, reference sets and other AI-enabled systems that produce consistent, scalable output.
  • Define quality-control and approval gates, including where human authorship is required.
  • Establish governance covering rights and licensing, disclosure, brand safety and Thai advertising and food-labelling requirements.

AI-enabled media investment

  • Apply AI and automation to audience development, creative rotation, budget allocation, bidding and cross-channel optimisation.
  • Establish clear human accountability for marketing strategy and spend authority.
  • Build the measurement foundation required for attribution, incrementality testing and marketing-mix analysis appropriate to each venture.
  • Run continuous testing programmes and transfer results across the portfolio.

Performance optimisation & marketing intelligence

  • Establish a portfolio marketing data layer connecting spend, channel performance, creative performance and downstream commercial outcomes.
  • Apply AI to anomaly detection, forecasting, cohort analysis and creative performance diagnosis.
  • Institutionalise portfolio-wide learning so each venture benefits from accumulated marketing evidence.

Qualifications

Essential

  • 10–14 years of marketing experience, including at least 4 years at Marketing Director or Head of Marketing level, with accountability for both brand and commercial performance.
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with AI tools across content production, media optimisation and marketing analytics, with the judgement to understand where AI creates value and where human expertise remains critical.
  • Strong performance marketing experience, including ownership of meaningful paid media budgets and fluency in acquisition economics, attribution and incrementality.
  • Proven brand-building experience in consumer categories, from positioning and identity through to market execution.
  • Experience leading an in-house creative team, including creative direction, capability development and the in-house versus agency model.
  • Experience across multiple brands, businesses or a portfolio environment. Candidates with single-brand experience should demonstrate clear transferability.
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to connect marketing activity with financial and business outcomes.
  • Professional fluency in Thai and English.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity, limited benchmark data and evolving priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience in Food, FMCG, Agriculture, Quick Commerce or adjacent consumer categories.
  • Experience across both B2C and B2B marketing.
  • Startup, venture-building or high-growth business experience.
  • Experience building or transforming a marketing function around AI and automation, with measurable impact on cost, speed or performance.
  • Technical literacy sufficient to evaluate marketing technology, data structures and measurement implementations.
  • Experience with brand separation, rebranding or spin-out

Working Style

  • A strong builder mindset, comfortable creating systems and capabilities from the ground up.
  • Able to hold a high creative standard and constructively challenge founders and venture teams.
  • Commercially minded, with marketing performance discussed in financial and business terms.
  • Comfortable moving between strategic direction and operational execution.
  • Curious and pragmatic about AI, focused on measurable improvement rather than technology for its own sake.
  • Able to operate effectively across multiple ventures, priorities and stages of maturity
