Department: Brand & Communications

Team: Corporate Communications

The Head of Communications (PR) leads and shapes LINE Thailand's corporate and product communications strategy to strengthen brand trust, corporate reputation, and stakeholder confidence. This role oversees external communications, media relations, executive communications, issues and crisis management, and strategic storytelling across corporate and key product narratives. The role reports directly to the CMO and working closely with the CMO, CEO, C-level executives, and cross-functional teams to ensure communications align with business strategy, brand direction, and global guidelines. The role requires a strategic communicator with strong media credibility, high business acumen, and a deep understanding of the technology and digital platform ecosystem, capable of navigating complex issues in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction and lead LINE Thailand's overall communications and PR agenda in alignment with business priorities, brand direction, and global communications framework
  • Serve as the primary communications advisor to the CMO and senior leadership on corporate reputation, public sentiment, issues, and risk considerations
  • Define and execute communication objectives, success metrics (KPIs), and roadmap for corporate and product communications initiatives
  • Oversee media relations strategy, including building and maintaining strong relationships with top-tier media, editors, and key opinion leaders
  • Lead proactive storytelling to strengthen LINE's positioning as a trusted, innovative, and responsible digital platform in Thailand
  • Drive issues management and crisis communications, including scenario planning, messaging frameworks, spokesperson strategy, and real-time response
  • Manage executive communications, including messaging frameworks, speeches, interviews, presentation reviews, and media appearances
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all external touchpoints, including press releases, media interviews, public statements, and owned channels
  • Work closely with Brand, Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Global Communications teams to ensure aligned and accurate communications
  • Provide communications guidance and governance to internal stakeholders to manage risk, sentiment, and brand reputation
  • Oversee monitoring of media coverage, public sentiment, regulatory environment, and industry trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the PR and Communications team to build strong strategic and executional capability
  • Oversee PR agencies and external partners to ensure high-quality, timely, and effective execution

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields
  • 15+ years of experience in communications or public relations, including senior leadership responsibility
  • Extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, and issues or crisis management
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives and C-level leaders
  • Strong understanding of technology, digital platforms, internet business, or consumer technology ecosystem
  • Strategic leadership capability with sound judgment and decision-making in complex or high-pressure situations
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and message development skills for executive and public-facing communications
  • High emotional intelligence, stakeholder management skills, and cross-functional collaboration capability
  • Learning agility, adaptability, and comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
  • Experience working with regional or global stakeholders and teams
  • Professional proficiency in Thai and English
