Head of Compliance

The Company

My client, a global fintech firm is seeking for a Head of Compliance for their Singapore Office.

The Role

• Monitor and interpret MAS regulations, including SFA, FAA, SF(LCB)R, FAR, and exchange rules, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Advise business stakeholders on regulatory obligations, conduct matters, and policy compliance.
• Review and approve marketing and promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead AML/CFT, sanctions, and financial crime compliance frameworks, including transaction monitoring and due diligence.
• Investigate suspicious activities, manage sanctions screening, and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where required.
• Conduct trade surveillance, monitor fund movements, and perform second-line compliance monitoring across business activities.
• Manage Code of Conduct breaches, compliance incidents, customer complaints, and internal investigations with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee MAS licensing requirements for appointed representatives and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
• Support compliance operations through audits, internal reviews, regulatory documentation, and continuous enhancement of the firm's compliance framework.
