Your new company
This globally known financial institution is famous for its exceptional products and services. Its presence is known globally, and they are now expanding their presence in Asia Pacific specifically into Thailand. As part of their expansion into this market, they are now looking for a competent and hands-on Head of Compliance to join them as part of their pioneering team.
Your new role
In this role you&aposll be strategically managing the Compliance function by leading, reviewing and evaluating all compliance issues within the business unit. You will work together with the regional compliance team and set up the local compliance framework while adopting the best practices, ensuring that the business complies with local regulatory requirements. You will be the compliance champion of the organisation and ensure that best practices are adopted by everyone. You&aposll also be initiating various key strategic compliance programs and collaborating with other business support functions to create risk awareness and mitigate the risks identified. You will be the company&aposs representative to the SEC ensuring the company remains in good standing.
What you&aposll need to succeed
- 10 or more years of relevant experience within the Financial Services industry specifically within the Compliance function
- Knowledge and experience in Private Banking or Securities is crucial
- Professional certifications in Compliance such as CAMS would be an added advantage
- Strong command of English and Thai (written and oral)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and have a strong understanding of compliance knowledge
- The ability to provide insightful changes to the business and be extremely hands-on in the start-up stage of the business
