Head of Credit Card IT Project Management
The Card IT Head is responsible for leading all technology functions related to the bank's credit card issuing system.
This includes managing a cross‑functional IT team (SA/BA/QA/Dev/MA), implementing and owning the new credit card core system,
overseeing application and production operations, and ensuring post‑implementation stability and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Team Management (SA / BA / QA / Developer / MA)
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary IT team including System Analysts, Business Analysts, QA/Testers, Developers, and Maintenance/Application Support staff.
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance management to build a strong and scalable team.
- Allocate resources effectively across development, testing, production support, and change initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure clear documentation standards, coding practices, testing governance, and operational readiness across the team.
2. System Implementation
- Implement New Credit Card System process end‑to‑end, including planning, execution, integration, and readiness for SIT/UAT and production.
- Requirements & Solution Design Review: Lead requirement validation, functional and technical design assessments.
- Core Card System Ownership: Ensure stability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
- Development & Integration: Coordinate development activities across internal and vendor teams.
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Oversee SIT planning, test case design, defect management, regression testing, and go‑live quality controls.
3. Application Ownership
- Documentation & Runbook: Maintain updated documentation, SOPs, and system runbooks.
- SLA / KPI Monitoring Setup: Establish SLAs, monitoring dashboards, and operational KPIs.
- Incident & Problem Management: Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Disaster Recovery & BCP: Ensure DR strategy, runbooks, and readiness for periodic DR drills.
4. Post‑Implementation & Production Support
- Hypercare Support (around 1 month after production): Lead team in defining and executing stabilization activities.
- Bug Fix & Patch Management Process: Oversee patch planning, validation, and deployment.
- Change Request Handling Process: Govern CR evaluation, prioritization, and release management.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization Process: Conduct system review and implement improvement actions.
- Vendor Support Coordination: Manage issue resolution and SLA compliance with vendors.
- Shift Resource Management: Ensure proper L1/L2/L3 support coverage and monitoring.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with significant experience in card systems (issuing, posting, billing, card management).
- Experience leading cross‑functional IT teams.
- Strong understanding of card system architecture, API integration, security standards, and operational processes.
- Proven leadership in system implementation, SIT/UAT management, and post‑production stabilization.
Preferred
- Experience with major card systems (e.g., VisionPLUS, TSYS, FIS, Asccend, Prime).
- Knowledge of scheme mandates (Visa/Mastercard/JCB).
- Familiarity with PCI‑DSS, PDPA, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong vendor‑management and project‑delivery experience.
