JOB SUMMARY
Head of Data Engineering is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise data architecture and data platform to enable scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure across the organization. The role drives the development of robust data pipelines, data governance, and integration frameworks to support analytics, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the enterprise leader for data platform strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure that supports business growth and digital transformation.
- Partner with business and analytics leadership to translate business requirements into robust data architecture, pipelines, and technology-enabled data solutions.
- Design, develop, and standardize data engineering frameworks, data models, ETL/ELT processes, and integration standards across all critical functions.
- Shape and execute the enterprise data strategy in collaboration with Technology and, including data stack architecture, integration platforms, and customer data infrastructure.
- Define and prioritize data use cases from an engineering feasibility perspective; ensure scalable implementation and operational accountability.
- Select and manage best-in-class data technologies (e.g., data warehouse, data lake, CDP integration, orchestration tools) to power customer insights, segmentation, and personalization.
- Enable data activation at scale by building reliable data pipelines and APIs that support advanced analytics and real-time personalization.
- Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, data security, privacy compliance, and master data management standards.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Data Engineering team; foster strong collaboration across Analytics, Technology, and Business teams.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data platform development
- Proven experience leading large-scale data infrastructure and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience managing and developing high-performing data engineering teams
- Strong background in enterprise data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance
- Strong expertise in data architecture, cloud data platforms, and modern data stack technologies
- Experience in building scalable data pipelines and real-time data infrastructure
- Deep understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution capability
