JOB SUMMARY
Head of Data Science & MIS is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise-wide strategy for Data Science, Advanced Modelling, and Management Information Systems (MIS). The role drives the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities to support executive decision-making, enabling accurate, timely, and commercially impactful business decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, manage, and develop the Data Science and MIS teams to deliver high-impact modelling, analytics, and decision support capabilities across the organization.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, and validation of predictive and prescriptive models to support revenue growth and business optimization.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and performance targets.
- Mentor and strengthen team capabilities in advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, data engineering, and business intelligence.
- Develop executive dashboards and decision intelligence tools that translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Integrate and analyze Big Data from omni-channel sources, including digital platforms, Super App, offline transactions, tenant data, and customer behavior touchpoints.
- Guide the team in translating analytical findings into executive-ready insights and decision frameworks.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between Data, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and IT teams to embed data-driven decision-making.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Predictive Modelling, and MIS, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and scaling Data Science and Business Intelligence teams at an enterprise level.
- Strong track record in developing and deploying predictive and prescriptive models that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Experience designing and governing enterprise MIS and executive decision support systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical outputs into strategic business recommendations for senior executives.
- Experience in retail, loyalty programs, omni-channel ecosystems, digital platforms, or large-scale consumer data environments is highly preferred.
