As the Head of Engineering, you wil be one of the leaders defining the mission for, hiring, and guiding your teams, as well as influencing the direction of LINE Thailand. You are expected to be able to balance business delivery with engineering quality, have strong business acumen, be data and metrics-oriented, and be able to balance a portfolio of short-term and long-term investments. In addition, you will need to build a top-tier engineering culture, focusing on product strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in balancing urgency vs. the incredibly high quality bar expected by both our customers and the broader LINE organization, through clear and repeatable engineering process
- Partner closely with leadership across all functions - Product, Design, Data, and Business
- Create a culture of strong technical ownership, resulting in highly reliable products and services at scale
- Foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies LINE&aposs values and continue to develop LINE as one of the best place to work
- Contribute to architectural designs which can improve the efficiency, flexibility, and reliability of services
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in any field
- 12+ years of engineering experience in a medium-sized or larger tech company including 6+ years managing high performance teams
- Demonstrated ability to hire and grow senior leaders and managers
- Strong technical craft mastery and engineering discipline
- Deep organization capabilities, especially in regards to influence, collaboration, and communication
- Expertise and experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies
- Fluency in both Thai and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skill in both languages
