About the Opportunity
Hudson is partnering with a well-established multinational consumer lifestyle company to appoint a Head of Finance & Accounting based in Thailand.
This senior leadership position anchors financial integrity, drives performance excellence, and safeguards statutory and tax compliance within the Thai market. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner to senior management, providing financial insights that enable strategic decision-making while ensuring robust governance and control.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Controllership & Performance Management
- Lead and oversee all financial controllership activities, including month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Deliver accurate and timely management reporting with commentary on sales, gross margin, OPEX, working capital, and cash performance.
- Enforce disciplined financial processes, close calendars, and makerchecker controls to maintain integrity and compliance.
- Uphold company financial policies, internal control standards, and documentation retention requirements.
Statutory, Regulatory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Thai statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations, including VAT/e-invoicing, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, payroll-linked obligations, and corporate secretarial matters.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external advisors to ensure smooth audits and clean compliance outcomes.
Business Partnering & Leadership
- Collaborate closely with business leaders across Operations, Merchandising, Logistics, HR, Legal, and Tax to align financial insights with strategic priorities.
- Provide actionable financial analysis and recommendations that support growth and profitability.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance culture that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain governance frameworks including approval matrices, segregation of duties, and risk management policies.
Audit & External Relations
- Lead statutory and tax audits from planning to closure, ensuring all audit deliverables are prepared accurately and promptly.
- Manage regulatory and tax authority interactions professionally and effectively.
- Track audit findings through to resolution and report progress to senior management.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Thai national preferred.
- Minimum 12 years experience in finance leadership, controllership, or business partnering roles, ideally within retail, luxury, or consumer goods industries.
- In-depth knowledge of the Thai Revenue Code, including VAT, WHT, and CIT.
- Strong technical proficiency with ERP/POS systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo) and advanced Excel.
- Excellent command of Thai and English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
