We are looking for a structured, pragmatic, and business-oriented Head of IT to lead our development team and drive the evolution of our internal systems to better support our operations (claims, medical, customer service) and to scale efficiently.

The role combines hands-on system understanding, team leadership, and close collaboration with business teams.
Responsibilities
System Delivery & Execution
- Lead delivery of system features and enhancements aligned with business needs
- Manage priorities, timelines, and resource allocation
- Ensure stable operation of existing systems while supporting new development
- Balance speed and quality in delivery
System Design & Progressive Improvement
- Translate business requirements, workflows, and prototypes into reliable system solutions
- Ensure systems remain maintainable, scalable, and aligned with real business usage
- Contribute to improving system structure and modularity over time
- Guide technical decisions with a practical and business-oriented mindset
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of developers
- Introduce and maintain clear development practices: code quality standards, documentation, testing and validation, release processes
- Improve team productivity and delivery consistency
- Foster a collaborative and structured team environment
Business Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations (claims, medical, customer service)
- Act as a bridge between business and technology
- Translate workflows and prototypes into structured system implementations
- Bring clarity to complex or evolving requirements
Architecture & Platform Evolution
- Contribute to defining system architecture aligned with business priorities
- Support a gradual transition toward a more modular and scalable platform
- Identify and prioritise improvements or refactoring of legacy components
- Ensure long-term coherence of the platform without over-engineering
Integration & External Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when needed
- Support integration of third-party tools and APIs
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security standards
Qualifications
- 7–12 years of experience in software or system development
- Experience leading development teams and owning delivery
- Experience working on internal systems or business platforms
- Exposure to evolving or improving existing systems (not only greenfield)
- Strong understanding of system design and modular architectures
- Experience with APIs and system integrations
- Ability to review and guide technical implementation
- Practical understanding of scalability, maintainability, and system structure
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
