Overview
The Head of Innovation is a vital, customer-focused role, leading digital transformation and automation projects within Managed Services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and achieving superior customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & What You'll Do
- Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute AAA strategies (Authentication, Authorization, Accountingassuming this is the intended domain context based on original document's repeated use) aligned with customer business objectives and organizational goals.
- Digital Transformation Leadership: Drive end-to-end digital transformation and automation initiatives (focused on digitalization, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement) within Managed Services.
- Emerging Technology: Accelerate the adoption of digital capabilities, particularly Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Generative AI, to improve customer experience and service delivery.
- Project & Risk Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery. Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish strong governance frameworks with customers and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder & Change Management: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. Lead change management efforts to support the successful adoption of new tools and transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth team transitions.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster an innovative culture by mentoring teams and driving iterative enhancements; ensure initiatives are customer-centric and deliver measurable value.
Competencies Required
- Digital Transformation: Strong understanding of digitalization frameworks, trends, and technologies. Experience leading automation projects in Managed Services/operations.
- Process Optimization: Proficiency in methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to improve workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
- Automation Technologies: Hands-on experience with RPA, AI/ML tools, and digital platforms used in operations.
- Project Management: Strong command of tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, PMP) for managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Risk Management: Competence in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in large-scale transformation projects.
Interpersonal & Leadership
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage, influence, and manage expectations; skilled in translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Change Leadership: Experience leading organizational change and ensuring the adoption of new systems or processes (familiarity with ADKAR or Kotter's models is a plus).
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to align digital initiatives with broader organizational goals and long-term vision.
- Team Leadership: Experience guiding cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically in transformation, automation, or technology-focused projects within telecom or managed services.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of transformation methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) and automation technologies (RPA, AI/ML).
