About the Role
They are seeking an experienced Head of Internal Audit to strengthen internal controls, enhance business processes, and drive operational excellence. The role is responsible for evaluating business processes, improving SOPs, and ensuring effective operational governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute risk-based internal audits across retail operations, distribution centers, and corporate functions
- Evaluate business processes, operational controls, and compliance with company policies and SOPs
- Review key operational areas including inventory, cash handling, procurement, stock movements, and returns
- Identify control gaps, operational risks, and process improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions
- Review, enhance, and develop SOPs to ensure effective controls and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve workflows, strengthen governance, and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor audit findings, corrective actions, and remediation progress through to completion
- Prepare audit reports, dashboards, and present key findings and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 6–10 years of experience in Internal Audit, Operational Audit, Risk Advisory, or retail operations
- Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer goods, luxury, or franchise businesses; distribution center audit experience is an advantage
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, business process improvement, and SOP development
- Professional certifications (CIA, CPA, or CISA) and regional or multinational business exposure are preferred
- Experience auditing ERP and retail systems (SAP preferred) with strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with professional English
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer goods, luxury, or franchise businesses; distribution center audit experience is an advantage
