The Head of Investment oversees the organization's overall investment strategy, portfolio management, and fund operations. The role ensures strategic alignment with corporate goals, regulatory compliance, and performance targets. It also involves developing investment products, improving processes with technology, enhancing team capability, and driving sustainable long-term growth in a dynamic investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Formulate and execute short-term and long-term investment strategies aligned with organizational vision.
- Monitor, review, and analyze fund performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Optimize investment workflows and operational processes for maximum efficiency.
Product Development & Management
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and related teams to develop, review, and enhance investment products.
- Present new investment offerings to internal committees and lead pitch meetings for prospective institutional clients.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to secure required regulatory approvals and licenses (e.g., Derivatives License).
Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning
- Develop strategic marketing plans to support investment product growth.
- Analyze market trends and investor behavior to maintain existing clients and acquire new ones.
- Build and strengthen relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and external institutions.
Organizational & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the investment team to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
- Establish and refine departmental policies, processes, and best practices.
- Manage annual budgeting, resource allocation, and cost efficiency for the Investment Department.
Corporate Governance & Strategic Meetings
- Participate in executive meetings and other governance committees.
- Represent the Investment function in Investment Committee meetings and ensure full compliance with operational manuals.
- Coordinate with external bodies including regulators, industry associations, and auditors.
Innovation & Technology Integration
- Lead digital transformation initiatives such as paperless workflows, proxy voting systems, and digital IC minutes.
- Promote innovation to enhance decision-making capabilities and accessibility of investment information.
Internal Engagement & Corporate Culture
- Manage internal communication and activities to strengthen organizational culture and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Investment, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, fund operations, or a related area; with at least 5 years in an executive or leadership role.
- Strong strategic-thinking, leadership, and communication skills, especially in dealing with senior management.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership with the ability to develop, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with investment technology, digital tools, and innovation trends in the financial industry.
- Fluent in Thai & English languages (Spoken, Wrtiiten, Reading)
