For this Maintenance Head position:
This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the plant's electrical systems across high, medium, and low voltage networks. This role leads maintenance operations, manages a team of engineers and technicians, oversees critical electrical assets, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while minimizing downtime and optimizing energy performance.
Job description
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of electrical systems throughout the plant.
- Manage the maintenance of critical electrical equipment, including substations, transformers, switchgear, rectifiers, and power distribution networks.
- Monitor, inspect, and maintain electrical protection relays and safety systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
- Analyze equipment failures, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Utilize SAP PM to plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities and asset performance.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce power-related operating costs.
- Support electrical engineering projects, including equipment installation, system upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, including LOTO procedures and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Maintain adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management system standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance engineers and technicians to enhance team capability and performance.
- Manage maintenance budgets, resources, spare parts, and operational plans effectively.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, TPM, WCM, and 5S.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to reduce downtime and improve plant productivity.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 15-20 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of electrolyze plant operations, systems, and electrical equipment.
- Proven experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or other continuous process industries.
- Hands-on experience managing critical electrical infrastructure, including 115kV, 6.6kV, and low-voltage distribution systems, is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, electrical reliability, and asset management practices.
- Familiarity with SAP PM or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations, LOTO, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
