Head of Manufacturing Engineering

Your Task:

•Leadership and coordination of manufacturing engineering group on site

•Define long term strategy for industrial capacity, plant load, floor space, DL needs by developing 5 years plan and supporting manufacturing site to successfully achieve it.

•Standardization of manufacturing processes and methods according with AME guidelines

•Capital investments (CapEx) planning/tracking.

•Support Capital investment requests (CEA) and make vs buy analysis

•Optimize utilization of assets and productivity of manufacturing processes.

•Guarantee smooth launches.

•Develop design for manufacturing. Work closely together with Enginering defining design rules to simplify manufacturing processes. Promote design of product to process for assembly and sewing.

•Incorporate lessons learnt as well as new technologies, equipment and materials into the new lines. Maintain manufacturing processes at latest state of the art.

•Ensure feasibility and competitive cost of manufacturing solutions for new quotes (CQA).

•Align the available resources to meet the customer requirements relative to production capacity, productivity and quality inspections and controls.

•Ensure manufacturing processes are built according with ZF-TRW HSE standards in terms of ergonomics and safety conditions.

•Guarantee those manufacturing processes fulfill also local/regional safety regulations.

•Comply with internal regulations, collective labor contract, and health and safety instructions.

•Maintain cleanliness and order at the workplace according to 5S principles.

•Perform any other tasks may occur but only related to the field of activity and in accordance with professional training.

•Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about the employer/employees/collaborators.

Comply with and maintain IATF16949:2016, ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 systems related to the workplace

Your Profile:

•Academic degree in technical field or equivalent

•10+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment

•Good understanding of relevant products & manufacturing processes

•Advanced skill set to analyze and solve problems, to present topics, run projects and build teams

•Very good oral and written communication skills

•Fluent in English

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Experience in Project Management / planning.

•Technical expertise in automotive assembly systems, machining processes, injection molding processes and tooling

•Finance awareness.

•APQP methodologies & documentation, process optimization. Experience developing Quality inspections and control tools.

•Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DfM).

•Experience using Methods and Times Measurement (MTM) system.

•Experience using continuous improvement tools (KAIZEN):

•Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

•Single Minute Exchange Dial (SMED)

•Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

•6 Sigma (6S)

•5S

•Statistical Process control (SPC)

•Working knowledge of drawing tolerances and interpretation.
