Our client is a global leader in the food industry, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. They are seeking a Head of Manufacturing to lead strategic and tactical decisions for their Frozen Manufacturing operations. This role will drive the production roadmap improvement, optimize resources, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
As the Head of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for end-to-end performance across Frozen Manufacturing. You will ensure world-class operational standards, implement best practices, and deliver cost-optimized production with consistent on-time delivery, accurate output, and high product quality.
You will facilitate collaboration across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other key functions, ensuring seamless coordination on critical operational activities. A key part of your role will be to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing team-driving engagement, strengthening leadership pipelines, and cultivating a positive, performance-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set strategic direction for plant operations, including budgeting, productivity roadmap, and KPI targets.
- Translate company goals into actionable operational plans.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other teams.
- Review performance against KPIs and drive timely corrective actions.
- Oversee daily production to ensure high-quality output, consistent processes, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to production standards, parameters, and procedures.
- Manage planned maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades across production areas and utilities.
- Coordinate with external vendors for technical support, equipment overhauls, and repairs.
- Ensure optimal machine setup and readiness to support production targets.
- Lead quality control for raw materials, in-process and finished goods to meet all internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with commercial teams and external partners to align quality requirements.
- Support internal/external audits and ensure full compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Drive quality issue resolution and communication across plant and business units.
- Oversee plant facilities, offices, and employee housing to ensure safe, smooth operations.
- Manage non-production support staff and vendors to meet service-level requirements.
- Ensure security operations comply with corporate policies and safety standards.
- Liaise with government agencies for permits, registrations, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve operational and business goals.
- Build talent pipelines, succession plans, and career development pathways.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, performance excellence, and employee engagement.
- Manage plant workforce planning and people budgets in collaboration with HR.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering/maintenance in food or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Frozen production and manufacturing processes, and ability to establish and maintain operations standards and guidelines
- Overseeing all operations processes including quality, engineering, warehouse & logistics, and operational excellence.
- Experience in identifying and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives and implementing new technologies to improve manufacturing processes, equipment with highly skilled in new technologies, including AI, robotics, and automated production lines.
- Able to deliver operation excellence standardize transformation, P&L Management, Cost improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members, stakeholders, and upper management
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead teams, build a diverse and trust-based leadership team, and develop local talent
- Experience in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance employee skills and competencies
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster a culture of collaboration and effectively drive cross functional collaborations
- Willingness to travel up country or overseas up to 40% is required.
