The Head of Mobile Engineering is accountable for the global build and OE rollouts of the Mobile App Program. This senior leadership role requires a visionary and delivery-focused executive who can lead distributed teams across build, deploy, and run, while ensuring seamless integration and end-to-end delivery of the program.
As the ultimate product owner, you will define and drive the strategic vision of the mobile platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will partner closely with senior business stakeholders, sales, and field organizations to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile solutions that create measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global build and OE rollouts of the Mobile App Program, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple regions
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams of product owners, engineers, designers, and QA specialists, including internal teams and external partners
- Manage and coordinate geographically distributed teams across Thailand, Germany, and OE markets, fostering strong collaboration and alignment
- Define and execute the program strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Allianz Technology's strategic priorities
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, providing transparent communication, regular progress updates, and effective expectation management
- Leverage strong technical expertise to address complex challenges, optimize delivery, and ensure operational excellence
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by adopting industry's best practices, modern engineering approaches, and emerging technologies
Key Requirements:
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or have similar experience with 8+ years engineering experience on mobile engineering technologies and at least 3 years of leadership experience
- Minimum 1015 years of international experience in program management, product ownership, or a closely related leadership role
- Proven expertise in building and scaling mobile applications for global, market-leading organizations
- Extensive hands-on and leadership experience in mobile application development across iOS, Android, and cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
- Strong track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex programs with clear business outcomes
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives
- Strong technical and commercial acumen, including a solid understanding of sales processes and field operations
- Highly independent, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of AI technologies and principles, with experience applying them in practical, business-driven use cases
