- Lead, manage, and expand day-to-day Ocean Freight operations in line with company strategy, policies, and compliance standards while optimizing resources and profitability.
- Drive team performance by setting, monitoring, and achieving operational KPIs/IKOs and ensuring consistent operational excellence.
- Analyze, review, and report Ocean Freight operational performance, risks, and challenges to senior management.
- Proactively identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Act as both people manager and coach, while partnering with the Commercial team in customer meetings to deeply understand client expectations, requirements, and performance feedback.
- Manage staffing levels (FTE) against workload and job volumes to ensure productivity, cost efficiency, and profitability.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth coordination between operations, commercial, and support teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or Ocean Freight operations, with at least 5 years in a people management or leadership role.
- Strong expertise in import/export operations, regulatory compliance, and international freight processes.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior management, influence stakeholders, and collaborate across multiple functions.
- Proven background in customer relationship management, sales, or business development, supported by strong decision-making capabilities.
