Head of Project Management (IT Business)

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the organizations Project Management Framework to align with business strategy and goals.
• Lead and manage Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and PMO teams to ensure successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Oversee resource planning, project prioritization, and risk management across the project portfolio.
• Establish and continuously improve project governance, processes, and tools to drive operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with executives, business stakeholders, development teams, and clients to ensure project objectives meet business requirements.
• Monitor, track, and report project portfolio performance through dashboards and executive reports.
• Coach, mentor, and develop the Project Management team to build organizational capabilities.
• Promote and integrate Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate for IT and digital transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum 1012 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing PM/PMO teams.
• Proven track record in managing IT projects such as software development, digital transformation, enterprise solutions, or technology consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Asana, or Trello.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership with the ability to manage and inspire large, cross-functional teams.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or CSM are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
