Head of Risk & Compliance - Asia MiddleEast (AME)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commerciallyminded risk leader to join our Executive team as Head of Risk & Compliancefor the Asia Middle East (AME) region.
Reporting to the AME CEO, with a functionalreporting line to the Group Chief Risk Officer, this role is responsible forleading Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime oversight across multipleregulated jurisdictions. The successful candidate will ensure effectivegovernance, strong regulatory outcomes and a robust risk management frameworkthat supports sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the regional Risk & Compliance function, including AML/CFT oversight
- Provide independent challenge and oversight of business strategy and activities
- Oversee enterprise risk management, compliance and governance frameworks
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators across the region
- Ensure effective oversight of financial crime, sanctions and fraud risk
- Chair the AME Risk Oversight Committee
- Act as principal Risk & Compliance adviser to the AME CEO and Executive Committee
- Design and optimise a scalable regional operating model
- Drive continuous improvement in governance, risk management and compliance processes
Skills & Experience
- Significant senior leadership experience within Risk, Compliance and/or Financial Crime in regulated financial services
- Deep understanding of enterprise risk management, compliance frameworks and governance
- Experience managing multi-jurisdictional teams and stakeholders
- Strong regulatory engagement experience
- Ability to balance commercial objectives with regulatory requirements
- Executive-level influencing and communication skills
- Experience operating across multiple regulatory environments
