About This Role
The Head of Sales is a senior leadership position responsible for driving overall sales performance and revenue growth across the automotive business. This role leads national and regional sales strategies, manages dealer and distributor networks, and ensures alignment between sales, marketing, aftersales, and product teams.
The position plays a critical role in expanding market share, strengthening dealer relationships, and achieving both short-term targets and long-term business objectives in a highly competitive automotive market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's commercial and growth objectives
- Set annual sales targets, budgets, and forecasts across vehicle segments and regions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer behavior
- Lead, motivate, and manage national and regional sales teams
- Track sales performance metrics and ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and profitability targets
- Optimize sales processes, CRM usage, and reporting systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key fleet customers
- Oversee dealer performance, network expansion, and compliance with brand standards
- Lead dealer incentive programs, sales campaigns, and promotions
- Work closely with Marketing on product launches, campaigns, and lead generation
- Coordinate with Aftersales, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure customer satisfaction and inventory availability
- Provide market feedback to Product Planning and Management teams
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to the executive leadership team
- Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred
- 10–15 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role
- Proven experience in the automotive industry (OEM, distributor, importer, or dealer network)
- Strong background in managing large sales teams and dealer networks
- Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Deep understanding of automotive sales channels, fleet sales, and dealer operations
- Advanced analytical skills and experience with CRM and sales performance tools
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and resilience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced market
