Position Summary
The Head of Partnerships & Product Development is a strategic, multi-faceted leadership role responsible for three core pillars:
1. Strategic Partnerships: Identifying, negotiating, and nurturing relationships with global, regional, and domestic partners to create synergistic business opportunities, from go to-market alliances to potential JVs and M&A.
2. Business Development: Defining the strategic direction for new business lines by analyzing market trends and building robust business cases for new ventures to ensure long-term profitability.
3. Product & Portfolio Leadership: Managing the strategic product portfolio roadmap and leading a team of Product Owners to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of new solutions—from concept to successful launch and handover.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership & Ecosystem Development:
● Proactively identify and and source a pipeline of potential partners.
● Lead the end-to-end partnership lifecycle: from initial engagement and value proposition framing to complex negotiations, deal structuring, and closing.
● Cultivate and manage strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders at partner organizations.
● Explore and evaluate opportunities for deeper strategic collaboration, including joint ventures (JV) and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
2. Product Development & Portfolio Management:
● Develop and own the strategic product portfolio roadmap, ensuring a balanced mix of solutions that aligns with our commercial goals and aspiration to become a trusted solution partner.
● Lead, mentor, and empower a team of high-performing Product Owners.
● Champion an agile and customer-centric product development culture, overseeing product roadmaps, sprints, and release schedules.
● Drive internal coordination with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations) to ensure the successful development and launch of new products.
● Own the holistic customer experience for new products, ensuring a seamless journey from awareness and activation to usage and support, before handing over to the core commercial and sales teams for scaled execution.
3. Business Strategy & Development:
● Continuously analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to generate actionable insights and inform business strategy.
● Oversee the due diligence process for potential partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.
● Work with finance and commercial teams to build robust business cases and profitability models for all new ventures.
● Be BU's strategic PMO and Commercial PMO to monitor the progress of the initiatives according to the strategy.
Qualifications
● Demonstrated experience in a strategic business development, corporate strategy, or partnership management role within the ICT, software, or technology-related industries.
● Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and launching complex strategic partnerships, ideally with international technology companies.
● Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of product portfolio management, business case development, and profitability drivers.
● Experience leading and managing product owners or product management teams; familiarity with agile development methodologies is highly desirable.
● Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives both internally and externally.
● Strategic and innovative thinker who can connect market trends to tangible business opportunities.
● Experience in Cloud, Cybersecurity, or AI domains is a significant asset.
● Prior experience in joint ventures (JV) or M&A processes is a plus.
