We are currently seeking an experienced candidate to lead our Thailand office. This leadership role requires the candidate to be a qualified Patent Agent with expertise in Intellectual Property (IP).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Lead and oversee the Thailand office by managing the delivery of the Company's services, including practice management of professional teams and functions of administrative team to ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide expert advice on patent prosecution, filing strategies and portfolio management. Oversee filing, examination response and hearings. Well-versed in enforcement/litigation processes.
- Management of workflow including appropriate delegation, review and supervision of work by staff members.
- Management of work quality and ensuring appropriate review and quality control of work undertaken by the team.
- Establish performance metrics, develop and mentor the team to provide continuous professional development.
- Manage interactions with the Examiners and Officers at Department of Intellectual Property, Thailand and regulatory authorities.
- Coordinating and communicating with entities in other countries including liaising with Principals, and corporate group members (as appropriate).
- Participation in appropriate professional organisations and other representative industry bodies to promote the Company.
Knowledge and Experience
- Must be a registered Patent Agent with experience in Patent matters and demonstrated experience in engaging with the Department of Intellectual Property.
- More than 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property with a focus on Patents.
- Proven track record in leading teams and managing the office.
- Ability to inspire, lead and develop high performing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai.
