Job Description
- Oversee endtoend import and export compliance, ensuring full adherence to Thai customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Lead HS code governance, tariff classification, dutyoptimization strategies, and FTA utilization to minimize cost and maximize compliance efficiency.
- Manage customs audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation.
- Establish preventive internal controls and riskmitigation measures to avoid penalties, shipment delays, and supplychain disruptions.
- Ensure all products meet Thai regulatory requirements-including labeling, safety standards, certifications, and consumerprotection laws.
- Oversee product registration, compliance documentation, and coordination with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain tradecompliance policies, SOPs, internal controls, and riskassessment frameworks.
- Conduct internal audits, lead compliance training, and drive system automation to enhance governance and monitoring capabilities.
- Build and lead a highperforming Trade & Compliance team while providing strategic advisory to country leadership and crossfunctional stakeholders.
- Lead crisis management for customs disputes, shipment holds, and regulatory escalations, including contingency planning to safeguard business continuity.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Trade & Compliance should have:
- Strong knowledge of trade compliance regulations and processes, particularly in the retail industry.
- Proven experience in managing logistics and trade operations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
