Job Description
The Head of Treasury Operations is responsible for overseeing the performance of the Treasury Operations team, working in close collaboration with the Global Markets Group (GM), Balance Sheet Management Central Treasury (BSM-CT), and other relevant units involved in treasury product transactions. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, operational execution, and people management to ensure alignment with business goals and organizational values.
1. Strategic and Tactical Planning
- Develop and propose a 5-year roadmap for Treasury Operations.
- Formulate and implement tactical plans to support the strategic direction of the Global Markets business.
- Effectively communicate and cascade strategic initiatives and tactical priorities to the team.
- Monitor progress against plans, identify deviations, and proactively resolve issues.
2. Budget Control & Operational Risk Management
- Provide expert advice on process design and internal controls to mitigate operational risks, including delayed payments, reporting errors, and potential financial losses.
- Manage and analyze actual expenditures, investigating any irregularities or cost fluctuations.
3. Change Management & Service Delivery
- Lead change initiatives in alignment with business priorities.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and exceeded.
4. People Management
- Share company updates and strategic objectives with team members.
- Define and communicate clear accountabilities and performance expectations.
- Foster team engagement and motivation.
- Inspire and lead the team to leverage individual strengths in achieving collective goals.
- Conduct open and constructive coaching conversations to support professional development.
- Recognize and reward outstanding individual and team performance.
5. Other Duties Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 510 years of experience in treasury products and/or transaction processing.
- Strong skills in tactical planning, communication, and negotiation.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional business environment.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
