Destada was launched in 2019 to bring established hospitality expertise to the fast-growing Vacation Rental market in Asia. As the industry accelerates with increasing worldwide demand being channeled through multiple global travel companies and numerous regional players it is hard for property owners to know where to focus energy.

Destada is building a team of hospitality and travel industry professionals to bring this expertise and knowledge to markets throughout Asia.

We work for independent property owners to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maximize occupancy and enhance property yield. Our mission is to support property owners in achieving increased return on investment through innovative strategies and solutions.

Hotel / Residence Manager

Based in our offices at Bluetree, Phuket and reporting to the CEO, the Hotel / Residence Manager is responsible for the overall operational, commercial, and guest-experience performance of our 18 unit Hotel/Residence and 20 standalone villas.

It is a crucial role in the company responsible for building relationships with property owners whilst ensuring ensuring the properties are professionally run, well maintained, profitable, and consistently deliver high guest satisfaction.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational control, people management skills and an ability to balance hotel-style service with villa-guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Property & Operations Management

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel and villas

- Ensure compliance with Thai regulations and licensing requirements

- Maintain standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation

- Act as the primary on-site decision-maker

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

- Deliver consistently high guest service standards

- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally

- Monitor online reviews and satisfaction metrics

- Drive continuous improvement in service quality

Team Leadership & Human Resources

- Recruit, train, and manage on-site staff

- Prepare staff schedules and manage payroll costs

- Conduct performance reviews and coaching

- Build a positive, service-oriented culture

Financial & Commercial Management

- Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts

- Control operating costs and approve invoices

- Monitor revenues, margins, and expenses

Sales, Distribution & Revenue Coordination

- Coordinate with the sales and marketing team.

- Identify revenue growth opportunities

- Support upselling and guest enhancements

Maintenance, Assets & CapEx

- Implement preventive maintenance and apartment upgrade programs

- Manage contractors and suppliers

- Protect long-term asset value

- Report CapEx requirements to ownership

Owner & Head Office Reporting

- Prepare regular operational and financial reports

- Provide performance insights and recommendations

- Represent ownership interests on site

Key Requirements

Experience:

- 48 years in hotel, resort or villa management

- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations in Phuket

Skills:

- Leadership and people management

- Financial and commercial awareness

- Strong organisational and communication skills

Languages:

- Fluent Thai & Strong English language required
