The Role

The HR Generalist plays a critical role in delivering end-to-end HR support across recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and operations across Asia and Australia. You will partner closely with managers and the Global Talent team to ensure our people's practices are consistent, compliant, andabove allcentered on enhancing the employee experience.

We believe that collaboration happens best when we can connect in person, but we also value the focus and flexibility that remote work provides. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a regular presence at our Bangkok office.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Partner with hiring managers through the full recruitment lifecycle, from planning meetings and best practices to offers and reference checks.
  • Manage Talent systems, prepare multi-jurisdictional payroll reports, and oversee offboarding to ensure a seamless transition for every employee.
  • Ensure all hiring practices strictly adhere to local employment laws and company standards.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain accurate electronic records in Workday, ensuring total confidentiality.
  • Manage the Global Talent Inbox and internal ticketing systems, providing professional and timely responses to employee queries.
  • Reconcile Talent-related invoices and prepare official correspondence (compensation changes, reference letters, etc.).
  • Support regional office logistics, including access cards and supply management.
  • Lead on all office administration and coordination with the support of the Finance Manager

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Assist in performance management and ER processes, including documentation, minute-taking, and managing cases from start to finish.
  • When required, conduct workplace investigations, gather facts, and prepare detailed reports to guide decision-making.
  • Advise managers on disciplinary actions and interventions (PIPs, feedback, or terminations).
  • Act as a change agent, supporting communication plans and employee transitions.

Benefits & Compliance

  • Oversee benefits processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment firms and benefit administrators.

Projects & Engagement

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to drive operational excellence.
  • Work on regional and global projects that align with G Adventures strategic goals.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and support our True Believer team.

What You Bring To The Table

  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with exposure to recruitment, ER, and benefits, preferably in a global or multi-location environment.
  • Proficiency in Workday (or similar HRIS) and advanced skills in Google Suite.
  • A solid grasp of regional employment laws and labor standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
  • Effective communicator who excels in a Slack-first, global environment - someone who can draft thoughtful, self-contained messages that provide all the necessary details for a teammate 8 hours away to take action without waiting for a reply.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
