Job Description

The HRBP will report directly to the CEO-a passionate, decisive, and growth‑driven leader-and will lead one HR Executive. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys shaping things from the ground up, and is not afraid to speak up, challenge decisions, and push back using facts, data, and sound judgement.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Partnership

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to the CEO providing practical, business‑driven people advice to support rapid growth.
  • Translate business expansion goals into scalable HR strategies, frameworks, and priorities.
  • Proactively challenge and influence leadership decisions when needed, using data, insights, and business logic.

Recruitment & Workforce Growth

  • Own end‑to‑end recruitment strategy and execution to support rapid team expansion.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, role scopes, and talent profiles aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive effective sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes to attract high‑quality talent in a competitive market.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes to ensure speed, quality, and scalability in a startup environment.

Scaling & Organizational Development

  • Support workforce planning and organization design as the business grows and evolves.
  • Build and implement scalable HR frameworks, policies, and processes appropriate for a fast‑moving startup.
  • Balance immediate hiring needs with long‑term talent and capability planning.

Performance & People Management

  • Drive performance management, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.
  • Coach managers on hiring decisions, performance conversations, and employee issues.
  • Support leadership capability building across the organization.
  • HR Operations & Data‑Driven Insights
  • Ensure HR operations and people practices are compliant, practical, and business‑focused.
  • Leverage people and recruitment data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop one HR Executive to ensure strong HR and recruitment execution.
  • Build a proactive, credible HR function that adds real value to the business.

The Successful Applicant


Experience & Background

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a startup or fast‑growing company.
  • Strong exposure to business expansion, scaling teams, or organizational growth phases.
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end HR practices with a hands‑on mindset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think commercially and strategically.
  • Confident, proactive, and comfortable speaking up in senior‑level discussions.
  • Able to push back constructively and influence decisions using facts and data.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
