Position Summary:
The HROD Director is a critical leadership role responsible for driving Human Resources and Organization Development (HROD) strategy to support business growth and transformation in the media industry.
Job Responsibilities:
HR & Organization Development Strategy
- Develop, implement, and drive HROD strategies aligned with corporate vision, business goals, and future workforce needs.
- Translate business strategy into people, capability, and organizational development initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the COO and senior leaders on organization design, workforce capability, and leadership effectiveness.
Talent Development & Performance Management
- This role partners closely with senior leadership and site managers to ensure that people strategy, talent development, performance management, and HR governance are fully aligned with business objectives. The position provides daily HR support to designated sites, ensuring that all HR processes, policies, and practices comply with company standards and local labor regulations.
- Design and oversee performance management frameworks, competency models, and career development pathways.
- Evaluate and analyze employee performance data to support capability building and succession planning.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Individual Development Plans (IDP) across all levels.
- Design assessment tools to evaluate skills, knowledge, competencies, and leadership potential.
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Lead the overall Learning & Development strategy, ensuring alignment with business and industry needs.
- Oversee training needs analysis, curriculum design, leadership development programs, and learning effectiveness measurement.
- Maintain accurate and structured training records and HR development databases.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of training and HROD initiatives on organizational performance.
HR Operations & Governance
- Provide daily HR support to designated sites by partnering closely with site managers.
- Ensure all HR processes, policies, and activities comply with company standards and local labor laws.
- Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, payroll, training, and HR operations through direct leadership of senior managers.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employee relations practices across the organization.
Workforce & Stakeholder Management
- Support manpower planning, workforce structure optimization, and headcount management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders and site management, to drive engagement and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead and develop the HR leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Track, analyze, and present HR metrics related to performance, capability development, and workforce effectiveness.
- Continuously review and improve HR and HROD processes to enhance service quality and business impact.
- Drive a culture of learning, performance excellence, and employee engagement within a fastpaced media environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Organization Development, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Organization Development.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing HROD, talent development, and performance management systems.
- Experience in media, digital, or creative industries is a strong advantage.
- Strong expertise in organization development, leadership development, training, and performance management.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
- Handson leadership capability with experience managing seniorlevel HR teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint /Skills in training media design or tools such as Canva and Photoshop will be an advantage.
