Job Description

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities

1) HR Strategy & Business Partnership: Develop and execute the annual HR plan aligned with plant business objectives (output, OEE, scrap reduction, quality, delivery, cost).

2) Workforce Planning & Recruitment: Lead workforce planning for direct labor and indirect roles; Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing strategy, vendor management, interviewing, selection, offer, background checks, and onboarding; Develop strong pipelines for blue-collar hiring.

3) Onboarding, Training & Development: Build and manage onboarding programs for production and technical staff, ensuring job competence and safety compliance. Conduct training needs analysis and deploy annual training plans (operational skills, quality systems, EHS, 5S/lean, leadership). Implement skills matrix, multi-skilling, and certification processes to improve production flexibility. Support succession planning and development of supervisors and key technical talent.

4) Performance Management & Employee Engagement: Implement and continuously improve plant performance management processes for all levels.

5) Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Inputs: Oversee time & attendance processes, shift differentials, overtime control, and payroll inputs in coordination with Finance/Payroll. Manage benefits administration and employee queries.

6) Employee Relations & Labor Compliance: Maintain positive employee relations and a productive, respectful shop-floor culture. Ensure full compliance with labor laws, plant policies, and audit requirements.

7) HR Operations, Systems & Continuous Improvement: Own HR processes and documentation (SOPs) and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

1) Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

2) 5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing; automotive parts and/or plastics (injection molding/painting/assembly) strongly preferred.

3) Proven experience managing the full HR cycle for a plant environment with a large hourly workforce.

4) Solid knowledge of labor law compliance, employee relations, and factory HR operations (time & attendance, overtime, shift work).

5) Familiarity with manufacturing systems and standards such as IATF 16949 (HR-related elements), lean/5S, and EHS practices.

6) Strong analytical skills with ability to use HR metrics to drive actions.

7) Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills; able to work in a fast-paced shop-floor environment.

8) English proficiency, with ability in Chinese is preferred.
