Job Description

We are currently partnering with a well-established international manufacturing business to appoint an HR Manager for a key leadership role based in Thailand.

This position will lead the full HR function at plant level and play an important role in building a strong people culture, supporting business growth, and ensuring HR practices are aligned with both local requirements and global standards. The role works closely with plant leadership, line managers, and regional HR stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the HR strategy in line with business objectives and plant priorities
  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the leadership team on people-related matters
  • Lead and manage core HR functions across talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance, rewards, employee relations, and offboarding
  • Oversee compensation and benefits practices to ensure market competitiveness and compliance with internal policies and local regulations
  • Prepare and manage HR reporting, workforce data, and key people metrics for internal stakeholders
  • Support employee wellbeing initiatives, insurance programs, and welfare-related activities
  • Drive management and leadership development programs, including coaching and capability building for managers
  • Lead talent management and succession planning activities to strengthen the internal talent pipeline
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment and support line managers in resolving people matters effectively
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR governance requirements, and performance management processes
  • Monitor legislative updates and recommend policy adjustments where required
  • Oversee HR compliance programs and relevant external audits/certifications

Team structure:

This role reports to the Plant Director and manages a small HR team, with scope for further team development as the operation grows.

  • This opportunity would suit an experienced HR professional with strong plant HR leadership experience, a solid understanding of HR operations and strategy, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix, international environment.
