This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nakhon Ratchasima for an IB PYP Coordinator from Aug 2026 to prepare for the application and authorization of the IB PYP from 2026-2027.

Wesley International School (WIS) is the only WASC-accredited IB World School in Northeast Thailand, located in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The school is currently authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and is a candidate school for the IB Diploma Programme (DP). WIS also plans to begin the application process for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the 20262027 academic year, further strengthening its IB continuum.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nakhon Ratchasima for an IB PYP Coordinator from Aug 2026. The IB PYP Coordinator will oversee the implementation and administration of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), guide curriculum development, facilitate professional development for teachers, and ensure adherence to IB standards and practices. The coordinator will also serve as the primary liaison between WIS and the International Baccalaureate organization, supporting educators in creating an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment that aligns with the school's mission and philosophy.

This role offers the opportunity to help shape the development of the IB Primary Years

Programme as the school continues to strengthen its IB continuum.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), including curriculum development and implementation
  • Experience with teacher mentoring, organizing professional development sessions, and providing instructional support
  • Student-centered mindset with a strong commitment to student well-being and inclusion.
  • Strong work ethic and a proven track record of working under deadlines and pressure.
  • Excellent role model of the IB Learner Profile and ATL skills (examples: communication, organization, and interpersonal skills).
  • Proven ability to analyze challenges, identify solutions, and apply learning swiftly across varied contexts.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) or similar frameworks to monitor and support student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field
