Job Summary
Responsible for driving and delivering Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) initiatives in manufacturing environments. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and scaling IIoT solutions to improve production efficiency, equipment reliability, and data visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute IIoT projects in manufacturing plants from concept, design, implementation to stabilization.
- Define IIoT roadmap and strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Design IIoT architecture connecting shopfloor equipment, sensors, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and IT / cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Automation, IT, and OT teams to identify IIoT use cases such as OEE improvement, predictive maintenance, energy monitoring, and traceability.
- Integrate IIoT systems with existing manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, data historians).
- Analyze machine and production data to support operational improvement and decision-making.
- Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Lead project teams and manage external vendors or system integrators.
- Provide technical guidance, review system design, and mentor team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related fields).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IIoT project implementation within manufacturing environments.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI).
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, MQTT.
- Experience integrating OT systems with IT or cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, on-premise).
- Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, downtime, quality, and traceability.
